Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury to Out Patient cases.
You will also make rounds of the In Patients in wards. You may consult the surgeon and/or the Patients doctor in such a case.
Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyse records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Refer patients to medical specialists or surgeon when necessary.
Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providers.
Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
Train GDMOs, and other health care professionals.
Prepare government or organizational reports which include birth, death, and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or medical status of individuals.
Conduct research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease or injury.
Prescribe drugs as per the EDL of the Government or the CHC mandatory medicine list.
Prescribe tests as per Indian Clinical Act pathology and radiology tests before administering medications, treatments, or procedures to assess and prevent or control disease or injury
